happy sunday!

We will be spending the day missing Ian (he's at work), coloring, eating graham crackers (Zoe's obsession of the day) and hopefully getting both kids to nap at once. Too much to ask?

*not just a picture of Zoe's butt in her Dora (aka the Devil) PJ's, her socks say Sunday - this note intended for my blind Momma {lol}

i heart IJD

He is our story teller, french toast preparer, trash taker-outer, booboo kisser, dance instructor and introducer of new/better music.
He is the heart of our little family and the brightest light in our day.
His kindness, patience and joie de vivre inspire me every day.

we are family...

I was supposed to host a "sibling" party before Christmas, but due to the weather and a mini stomach virus in our house, it was postponed. We were able to celebrate after Christmas and it was so nice to be able to spend some time with all of them. We allowed Zoe to stay up for the party (mistake) and Milo joined us as well (also, a mistake). I put out desserts and drinks and everyone brought a $5 unisex gift so that we could do a small exchange. Really fun!!

Christmas Day (in a nutshell)

This day was just wonderful (in a crazy/whirlwind kind of way)!

There's just so much to say, I'm going to try and tell the story with pictures.

First picture, just after waking!

**thank you to Dobbie, Grandpa Mark, Grampy, Gramma Shells, Nana & Lolo for making this Christmas so wonderful for Zoe and Milo. They are truly loved.

Christmas Eve- pt 2

After the celebration with my family, we headed home to have a celebration of our own. Opening PJ's on Christmas Eve has been a tradition for me forever, so I definitely wanted my kids to experience the same thing. We also let Zoe open a new Christmas book, which she absolutely loved (she's such a bookworm)!! Zoe put out cookies and milk for Santa and we laid in our bed and read her new Christmas book and then went to sleep nice and early so Santa could come and we would be refreshed for all of the Christmas Day excitement!!

Excited to open her first present!

Opening her PJ's!!

Holiday Recap - Christmas Eve (pt 1)

So sorry for the delay in holiday posting. Things have just been so crazy around here!! Our first Christmas as a family of 4 was very exciting! We began the holiday celebration with our annual Christmas Eve party at Uncle Doug's house. This is my favorite pre-holiday tradition. It's just so nice to have everyone in the same place at the same time. We had lots of good food and we definitely went to bed on Christmas with full tummies! Milo spent most of the evening charming everyone with his cute smiles and giggles and Zoe spent most of the evening chasing after Molly the dog. It was a great way to get her energy out after being snowed in for most of the week.
